The West Virginia Mountaineers have lost their leading returning tackler from last season, safety Dravon Askew-Henry, to a left knee injury.  Askew-Henry, according to WVU Head Coach Dana Holgorsen, will miss the entire 2016 season, including the Mountaineers season opener against the SEC’s Missouri Tigers on Saturday, September 3rd at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown.

Holgorsen, referring to the injury, stated, “This is tremendous loss for our football team.  Without a doubt Dravon was one of our leaders on and off the field.  We will support his through his recovery and work with him to get him 100 percent back to health.”

In 2015, Askew-Henry made 59 tackles and added an interception for West Virginia.  WVU hosts Missouri at 11 AM on September 3rd, with coverage locally on KTTN FM 92.3 beginning at 9 o’clock.  The game will be televised nationally on Fox Sports 1.
