Walk-on junior defensive end Jordan Harold has been named the starter for Missouri’s season opener, Saturday at West Virginia.  Harold will start opposite Charles Harris, the Kansas City native named to several preseason watch lists.  Harold, in earning the opening day start, beat out several established scholarship athletes for the Tigers, most notably Marcell Frazier, who played in all 12 games in 2014, including three starts.

Mizzou hopes to get a jolt to its anemic rushing attack with the addition of former Oklahoma running Alex Ross.  The senior transfer, in addition to his running duties, is expected to return kicks for MU.  He had two touchdowns as a returner for OU.

Mizzou’s season opener at West Virginia is Saturday morning at 11 o’clock from Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown.  Pregame on the Tiger Radio Network (and local affiliate KTTN FM 92.3) hits the air at 9 AM.  The game will be televised on Fox Sports 1.
