The University of Missouri’s football schedule for the 2024 season was unveiled during a live ESPN special on December 13, 2023, as announced by the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The Tigers are set to face a lineup of formidable opponents, both at home and on the road.
The 2024 season commences with four consecutive home games at Memorial Stadium/Faurot Field, starting with matchups against Murray State on August 31, Buffalo on September 7, Boston College on September 14, and the SEC opener against Vanderbilt on September 21.
Following this home stretch, the Tigers hit the road for three of the next four games, facing challenges at Texas A&M on October 5, UMass on October 12, and their annual homecoming game against Auburn on October 19. A road trip to Alabama awaits on October 26.
The latter part of the season includes notable matchups, such as a rekindled rivalry with Oklahoma on November 9, followed by back-to-back road games against South Carolina on November 16 and Mississippi State on November 23. The regular season concludes with the Battle Line Rivalry against Arkansas on November 30.
The 2024 season brings added significance as it marks the first year of league competition for the University of Oklahoma and the University of Texas, both longtime rivals from the Big 12 Conference.
SEC teams in 2024 will play eight conference games, along with one required opponent from the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12, or a major independent, as the SEC transitions to a 16-team conference. In the upcoming season, the Tigers will face Boston College at home on September 14, 2024.
Noteworthy changes in the SEC include the elimination of divisional standings starting in 2024. The SEC Championship Game will feature the top two teams in the Conference standings at the conclusion of the regular season.
