The Penney High School Hornets of Hamilton remain entrenched as the top team in Class 1, with all 15 first-place votes in this week’s high school football media poll. Â Meanwhile, a 40 point (54-14) win over Trenton has moved Lexington into the #10 spot in Class 2, after receiving votes in the poll a week ago.
Meanwhile, in Class 3, the Maryville Spoofhounds remain #2, with some in the poll believing that the MEC preseason favorites are the top team in the state. Â This Friday, the ‘Hounds travel to Chillicothe to battle the unbeaten Hornets in the MEC “Game of the Week” at 7 o’clock.
