Missouri’s 2024 team captains have been announced, with quarterback Brady Cook being the lone returning captain. Cook, entering his final season, was also named to the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award watchlist.
Joining Cook as captains are wide receiver Theo Wease Jr., defensive tackle Kristian Williams, defensive end Johnny Walker Jr., and linebacker Chuck Hicks.
Wease, in his second season with Missouri after transferring from Oklahoma, started every game in 2023 and received praise from coach Eli Drinkwitz for his maturity and leadership.
Williams, also in his final season, started 11 games in 2023, while Hicks, in his fourth year at Missouri, started nine games. Walker, who will have one year of eligibility left after 2024, started 12 games in 2023 and was named to the Bednarik Award watchlist.
The captains were announced during fall camp, with Cook being a three-time captain and the others being first-time captains.
