Nine young ladies received first-team postseason honors as the HDC Conference announced first-team and honorable mention selections late last week. Three of the girls named first-team were done so in unanimous fashion, with North Harrison’s Payton Craig, and the Mercer duo of Nicole Kost and Lindsay Wyatt in that group.
Others on the first team are North Harrison’s Brandy Rivet, Winston’s Sophie Pliley, East Harrison’s Kala Thompson and Lauryn Waddle, and Grundy County’s Zoe Littleton and Matana Munday.
Four players off the HDC champion North Harrison Lady Shamrocks were named honorable mention, in Alyssa Craig, Kiley Gibson, Audry Briggs, and Krissi Cox. From Mercer, Bailey Owens and Kaylee Duckworth were honorable mention, along with East Harrison’s Nicole Easum and Klarissa Roberts, Tri-County’s Tanna Courter, and Grundy County’s Emma Novak and Kendra Johnson.
North Harrison’s Brandon Craig is the 2016 HDC Conference Coach of the Year.
