Sam Cornelius shot an 83 and Addison Cornett 86, good for a 2nd and 4th place individual finish for the Penney Lady Hornet golf team, at Tuesday’s Lawson Invitational Meet.  Smithville’s Trace Mosby earned medalist honors, shooting an 18-hole score of 81.

Smithville dominated the day from a team perspective, shooting 347 to outdistance the runner-up score of Richmond (431) by 84 strokes.  Park Hill was third at 434.  Lawson’s score of 448 was good for sixth place.  LeBlond was 7th, Plattsburg 9th, and Cameron 10th.

Cameron’s top score, a 118, was turned in by Abby Ourth, good for 28th place.  While Hamilton showed individual strength at the top of the charts, the Lady Hornets did not field a team score, lacking the four players needed to place.
