The fall sports season at Tri-County High School opened on Friday night, with the softball and baseball teams coming up on the short end of games at Green City, with the softball final at 9-2 perhaps showing a glimmer of hope that the rough patch in the win column for the Lady Mustangs could come to an end, sooner than later.
The baseball Mustangs were shutout in their opener, with first-year coach Josh Lisle noting that Tri-County’s group of 10 are young, and drew a seasoned opening opponent in the tough Green City Gophers.
