Trenton High School senior Tucker Franklin shot a round of 84 to finish three strokes behind Caleb Albertson of Helias Catholic in the Macon junior varsity golf tournament. Franklin’s score was the second-best of the day, as the Bulldogs put three players in the top 12 individually. Â Conner Lovell, with a score of 96, finished in a three-way tie for ninth place, while Luke Lewis, with a 97, finished in 12th place. Â Trenton’s Cade Darting shot a 128.
Helias brought two teams to the event, with the “B” team winning the team title with 359, followed by the “A” team with 374. Â Kirksville was third at 384, followed by Trenton in fourth place at 405. Â Marceline was 6th (458) and Brookfield was 9th (505).
