Trenton’s Franklin finishes runner-up at Macon JV golf tournament

Trenton High School senior Tucker Franklin shot a round of 84 to finish three strokes behind Caleb Albertson of Helias Catholic in the Macon junior varsity golf tournament. Franklin’s score was the second-best of the day, as the Bulldogs put three players in the top 12 individually.  Conner Lovell, with a score of 96, finished in a three-way tie for ninth place, while Luke Lewis, with a 97, finished in 12th place.  Trenton’s Cade Darting shot a 128.

Helias brought two teams to the event, with the “B” team winning the team title with 359, followed by the “A” team with 374.  Kirksville was third at 384, followed by Trenton in fourth place at 405.  Marceline was 6th (458) and Brookfield was 9th (505).
