Playing in windy conditions that Coach Travis Mullenix referred to as “brutal”, Trenton’s boys golf team defeated the visiting Brookfield Bulldogs, 173 shots to 205 on Tuesday afternoon at Riverside Country Club.

Trenton sophomore Lathan Croy shot a nine-hole round of 38, marking the only sub-40 score of the 10 varsity players on the course.  Croy won medalist honors, followed by Nate Swann’s mark of 41.  For Brookfield, the top scores of 43 and 44 were turned in by Matt Jackman and Seth Gladbach, respectively.  Three Trenton golfers matched each other at 47, with Cree Mullenix, Corbyn Guile, and Luke Lewis at that mark.  For Brookfield, Brent Downey shot 56, Glenn Montgomery 62, and Ryan Schneider 68.

Trenton only had three JV golfers on the course, not enough for a team score.  Brookfield’s four JV golfers put up a score of 257.  Trenton senior Tucker Franklin earned medalist honors with a 47.  Other THS JV scores were Conner Lovell at 49 and Cade Darting at 61.

Brookfield’s JV had scores all in the 60’s, with Dakota Bourcard at 62, Alex Blackwell 63, with Will Keune and Caleb Calhoun both shooting 66.
