The Trenton Bulldog boys basketball team played one its finest games of the season, blitzing the Cameron Dragons with 28 first-quarter points, and winning their final home game of the regular season, 82-58.  The win improves the ‘Dogs to 17-7 on the season, with a trip to Hamilton to play the Penney Hornets coming up Thursday night.

THS shot the ball at a blistering pace early, with Spencer Harris hitting a pair of 3-point shots in a 10 point first-quarter, while Corbyn Guile had eight in the quarter for Trenton, leading 28-11 after eight minutes of play, after scoring the first 16 points of the game.

On their Senior Night, the trio of Harris, Guile, and Connor Cotton were spectacular, with Harris hitting for 33 points, Cotton 21, and Guile 20. Fellow senior Alex Parrack got a rebound and put-back basket at the fourth quarter horn, getting on the board in his final home game wearing the Black and Gold.

Cameron, now 8-15 on the season, had 17 points from Kyler Hill, 14 from Jaxson Frazier, and 12 from Parker McGinnis.

The Trenton Lady Bulldogs overcame a shaky start to overtake the upset-minded Lady Dragons in the second half, using a full-court press and increased game pace to claim a 52-29 victory over Cameron.  The win sends Trenton to a season mark of 21-3, as Ainsley Tolson led the winning side with 17 points.  Whitley Richman added 12, and Mykah Hurley 10.  Cameron, falling to 5-18 in a rebuilding year, had 15 points (on five 3-point shots) from guard Sydney Nichols.

Tuesday night’s games from the Trenton High School gymnasium were broadcast on KTTN FM 92.3.  Trenton seniors recognized on their final basketball games in their home gym were Lady Bulldog forward Whitley Richman; Bulldog senior boys Spencer Harris, Corbyn Guile, Alex Parrack, and Bulldog cheerleaders Jaylen Neff, Lana Raymo, Karli Crawford, and Mason Hooyman.
