The Trenton varsity and JV volleyball teams claimed straight set triumphs over the Penney High School Hornets of Hamilton on Monday night. The varsity Bulldogs improved their season record to 1-3 with a 25-18, 25-23 against PHS.
Allena Allen had three kills and Melea Farmer three aces for the Lady Bulldogs, adding eight assists in a solid floor effort. Karli Provorse had a superb overall night with seven kills, three digs, and three aces. Shawna Coplen had five digs, two assists, and two kills, with Saedee Jackson adding three blocks.
Trenton won the JV matchup against Hamilton 25-19, 25-15.
THS volleyball will travel to Plattsburg, looking for two wins in a row, taking on the host Tigers. Action starts at 5 o’clock from the Plattsburg High School gymnasium. The Lady Bulldogs host Carrollton on Thursday and South Harrison on Tuesday, September 5th. The varsity match with South Harrison will be broadcast on Hot Country Z 101.7.
