The Trenton Lady Bulldog volleyball team had a two sets to one lead in Monday night’s home duel with Lexington, but a rally from the visiting Minutewomen ripped the potential victory away from THS, with the Bulldogs falling 25-17, 19-25, 25-20, 24-26, 6-15.
The Trenton JV swept Lexington 25-23, 25-16.
Individual stats from the varsity match are not yet available. Head coach Brad Ewald admitted disappointment from the result, saying, “Can’t help but feel like we let this one get away”.
Prior to the district opener on October 22nd against South Harrison (4:30 PM at Lafayette County High School), Trenton will have a pair of road trips to St. Joseph to finish the regular season, playing at Bishop LeBlond tonight (Tuesday, October 15th) and St. Joseph Christian on Thursday, October 17th.
