The Trenton Bulldogs competed in the Cameron Boys Tennis Tournament on Wednesday, before getting back on the bus for a duel in St. Joseph on Thursday against the LeBlond Golden Eagles.
On Wednesday, Trenton’s #2 doubles team of Riley Walker and Maverick Sole earned fifth place, with another 5th place grabbed by the #3 doubles team of Dylan Smith and Victor Markell.
At #1 singles, Trent Villacampa earned 7th place honors for the Bulldogs, with the #1 doubles team of Braydn Sager and Jonin Villacampa finishing 7th with a 1-3 record, although two of their losses came in 7-6, tie-breaking fashion.
For Chillicothe’s boys tennis team on Wednesday, Chace Corbin finished third place at #1 singles, with Gabe Peterson second at #2 singles, Caleb Corbin and Carter Allen finishing 4th at #1 doubles, and Emmett Young and Shayden Hawkins 7th at #2 doubles.

In Midland Empire Conference competition on Thursday afternoon in Kansas City, Chillicothe fell to 0-3 in duels with a 5-4 defeat at St. Pius X. Winning matches for the Hornets were Chace Corbin 8-4, Caleb Corbin 8-2, Carter Allen 9-7, with Allen combining with Caleb Corbin for an 8-4 doubles victory.
