The East Buchanan Lady Bulldogs rallied from an early deficit to complete a three-match sweep of the Trenton Lady Bulldogs on Tuesday night, winning the varsity match 15-25, 25-14, 25-17. The loss ended a two-match winning streak for Trenton.
East Buchanan won the C team match at Trenton, and the junior varsity match 23-25, 25-10, 15-7.
Trenton will host South Harrison on Thursday night, before playing in the Carrollton Tournament on Saturday. On Monday (October 1st), the Lady Bulldogs play at Chillicothe against the Lady Hornets, with the varsity match to be broadcast on KTTN FM 92.3.
The Chillicothe varsity had a similar fate to Trenton’s on Thursday night, taking the first set against Kirksville by a score of 26-24, only to see the Lady Tigers rally for the three set win, taking the final two sets 25-15, 25-19.
The Penney Lady Hornets found the win column on Tuesday night, defeating Brookfield, 25-20, 29-27. Jessica Richman had seven aces, Elisha Westover six kills, with Halle Vanatta adding nine assists and eleven digs for the Hamilton side.
