Trenton Middle School athletes had a busy night on Thursday, with the softball team playing Hamilton, while the volleyball team battled Chillicothe.
In the softball team’s “A” game with Hamilton, the Hornets came out on top, 6-5. Megan Spencer struck out 11 batters for Trenton, walking two and allowing five hits.
Morgan King had three hits, and RBI, and a run scored, Summer Martin two hits, a stolen base, and a run scored, and Gracyn Rongey two hits in four at-bats for TMS.
In the “B” game, Trenton beat Hamilton 8-3. Summer Ceradsky was 1 for 2 with a run scored, Shaylee Mullins 1 for 1, and Flora Wilcox 1 for 1 with a walk and a double for Trenton.
The TMS volleyball teams lost to Chillicothe on Thursday night, with the “B” team final 25-17, 25-16, and the “A” team falling 25-11, 25-8.
