The first week of December will see a large amount of high school basketball tournament, including events to be hosted by Gallatin High School and Novinger High School.
The top seeds in the 47th annual Gallatin Invitational Tournament are the Trenton Lady Bulldogs and Maysville Wolverines, with the Lady Bulldogs playing in the first game in this year’s GIT, battling North Harrison at 4:30 on the afternoon of Monday, December 2nd. Other quarterfinals that day will be #1 seed Maysville boys against North Harrison at 5:45, the #4 seed Gilman City Ladyhawks opposite Polo at 7 o’clock, and the #2 seeded Braymer boys against Gilman City at 8:15.Â
The quarterfinal round on Tuesday, December 3rd from Gallatin High School will feature the #3 seeded Braymer girls against Winston at 4:30, with the #5 seeded Trenton boys going against Polo at 5:45. The 7 o’clock game will see the host Gallatin Lady Bulldogs, as the #2 seed, playing Maysville. In the 8:15 encounter, the #3 seeded Gallatin boys take on Winston.Â
The top seeds in the 81st annual Novinger Tournament are the girls and boys teams from Green City High School. The #2 seeded Novinger Lady Wildcats play in the first game in this year’s event, battling Brashear at 4:30 on the afternoon of Monday, December 2nd. Other quarterfinals that day will be #3 seed North Missouri Knights boys against Brashear at 5:50, the #3 seed La Plata Lady Bulldogs opposite Atlanta at 7:10, and the #2 Atlanta Hornet boys taking on Novinger at 8:30.Â
The quarterfinal round on Tuesday, December 3rd from Novinger High School will feature the #1 seeded Green City girls against Madison at 4:30, with the boys teams from those districts playing in the #1 vs. #8 matchup at 5:50. The 7:10 game will see the #4 seed Grundy/Newtown girls playing the North Missouri Knights. In the 8:30 encounter, the #4 seeded Grundy/Newtown boys take on the La Plata Bulldogs.Â
