Trenton looks impressive in doubleheader sweep of Carrollton

The Trenton girls and boys returned to their home floor on Monday night, completing a sweep of the visiting Carrollton Trojans on KGOZ-TV.  The state-ranked (#10 in Class 3) Lady Bulldogs rolled to a 63-12 victory over the over-matched Lady Trojans, while the Trenton boys lit up the nets for 51 first-half points, part of a 77-47 win that broke a three-game losing streak for THS.

For the Lady Bulldogs, 11 players received playing time, and all 11 scored.  Salem Croy led THS with 12 points, while Ainsley Tolson added 10. Trenton’s girls are now 6-1, while Carrollton drops to 0-6.

The Trenton boys rode outstanding scoring nights from Corbyn Guile, Connor Cotton, and Spencer Harris in a 30 point win.  Guile scored 26, Cotton 19, and Harris 18, while Dylan Harris contributed 10 points in a solid floor game.  The win pushes Trenton to 4-3, while dropping the Trojans to 4-2. Brett Pierson had 17 points and Bobby Jett 15 points for CHS.
