The Trenton junior varsity scored three touchdowns on Monday night, while the defense stoned the Milan offense throughout the contest at C.F. Russell Stadium, in a 20-0 victory.

Isaac Harris, on a 46 yard interception return, scored the opening points of the game for Trenton, with 7:24 remaining in the first quarter.  The two-point conversion failed, and the score remained 6-0 for the remainder of the first half.

The Bulldog JV doubled the lead at the 5:22 mark of the third quarter, with Harris scoring on an 18 yard run.  The failed two-point run left the score at 12-0 after three quarters.

A blocked punt in the fourth quarter (by Carson Radcliff) set the Bulldogs up for the clinching score, a 4 yard run by Sam Schilling with 8:25 remaining.  Mark Trump ran in the two point conversion.

Milan’s chances of a comeback ended courtesy of the weather, as lightning from Monday night’s thunderstorm complex overtook the stadium, ending the game with 7:10 remaining in the contest.

Trenton traveled to Milan for middle school football on Tuesday night, with the Wildcats showing off a combination of physicality and toughness that led to a 68-0 victory over the visiting Bulldogs.  TMS will play Princeton on Tuesday, September 27th at 6 PM.
