The Trenton Lady Bulldogs swept South Harrison on Thursday night, taking a 25-12, 26-24 varsity win in Bethany, with the THS junior varsity rallying for a 21-25, 25-8, 15-11 victory.
In the varsity match, Trenton had five assists from Ava Simpson, four aces and a kill from Allena Allen, four kills to go with three blocks and an ace from Evy McCullough, and three kills, a block and an ace from Libby Fewins.
In the JV win, Katie Markell had three digs, Lilly Berti three aces and a pair of kills, Ally Yoder three aces along with a kill and an assist, Makenzee Epperson two kills, Juliet Schmadeke two aces, and Faith Baker with one ace.
Coach Pam Bowden said of the varsity’s victory, “We played much better tonight, after a good Wednesday practice! We want to show a good showing for the Carrollton Tournament on Saturday!”
