Trenton golf finishes middle of the pack in ultra-competitive Richmond Invitational

The Trenton Lady Bulldogs, with a team score of 403, tied Savannah for 7th place in the 15 school Richmond Golf Invitational, held at Shirkey Golf Course on Wednesday.

The only player to shoot under-par on the 74 par course was Warrensburg’s Taylor Black, with a 2-under 72. She won medalist honors, followed by a pair of Pembroke Hill Raiders, with India Gaume runner-up at 78, and Grace Parkerson in third place with a score of 79.

Pembroke Hill won the team competition with a score of 337.  Blue Springs was second at 355 and Warrensburg third with 359.  Other schools in the meet were Liberty North, Notre Dame de Sion, St. Teresa’s Academy, Maryville, Kearney, Barstow, Richmond, Sedalia Smith-Cotton, Liberty, and Marshall.

Trenton’s top score, an 18-over par 92, put Kaitlyn Mounce in a 14th place tie with Olivia Vandel of Liberty North.  Hannah Kennebeck shot 104, Lana Raymo 107, Jordain Oshel 109, and Werthen Gass 113 for THS.
