The Missouri Basketball Coaches Association has announced its most recent statewide poll, released late Tuesday morning.  The Trenton Lady Bulldogs remained entrenched at #2 in Class 3, just one spot behind the defending state champions from Strafford.  The Milan Wildcats, unbeaten after a Tuesday night Grand River Conference win over Polo, remain #10 in Class 1.

Making a strong move up the Class 1 boys poll are the Mustangs of Linn County, who went into Tuesday night unbeaten.  Linn County is now ranked #7, but that spot could be in jeopardy after Linn County lost at rival Meadville on Tuesday night.  The Winston Redbirds, unbeaten after a convincing HDC Conference win at Grundy County, are ranked 5th.  Worth County lost on Tuesday night to GRC West rival, #3 ranked North Andrew, with the Cardinals remaining unbeaten.  Whether that loss affects the Tigers 10th place slot waits to be seen.

On Saturday, the second game of High School Holiday Hoops will feature an intriguing matchup involving the Big School vs. Small School story line.  The Southwest Livingston Lady Wildcats are up to #2 in the state in Class 1 this week, and will play St. Joseph Lafayette on Saturday at 3:30 at the Ketcham Community Center.  Norborne is ranked immediately behind Southwest at #3.
