The Trenton Middle School Bulldogs went 1-2, finishing fifth place in the NCMC Nan Carter Middle School Tournament on Saturday at the Ebbe Sports Complex.
Trenton fell to South Harrison in the opening round, 15-3. Lexi Gott led TMS with a 2 for 3 game, with a run scored and a double. Gracyn Rongey had a 1 for 2 game with a run scored. Chloe Harris and Maci Moore were both 1 for 2.
In the middle game, Putnam County beat Trenton 12-1. For the Bulldogs, Rongey was 1 for 2 with a double and a run scored. Maci Moore was 1 for 2 with a triple, and Flora Wilcox was 1 for 1.
Trenton took fifth place with a 10-3 win over Milan. Jaycie Griffin was 2 for 3 with a run and a pair of doubles, Bailey Catron 2 for 3 with a run scored, Delaney Franklin 2 for 3 with a run scored, Chloe Harris 2 for 4, and Lexi Gott 1 for 3 with a run scored for TMS.
