The Trenton Lady Bulldogs won on the road for the second time in three nights, rallying their record to 14-14 heading into postseason play, winning 5-4 over the host Cameron Lady Dragons on Thursday night.
Freshman catcher Kaylor Hodge led the Trenton offense with a 4 for 4 night, with a pair of RBI’s and a run scored. Madi Moore had a 1 for 4 game with an RBI, Mirena King and Emma Roberts added RBI’s, with Morgan Foster scoring two runs. Avery Clark had a triple in 3 at-bats. Clark added the win from the pitching circle.
Elsewhere on Thursday night, Putnam County downed North Harrison 12-5 as Traylen Brundage had a pair of homers for the Lady Midgets. Grundy R-V’s fall sports teams took a doubleheader sweep over Novinger, winning the softball contest 11-10 and the baseball game 7-6 in extra innings. Carrollton won the MRVC Eastern Division title with a 3-0 win against Holden.
