The Trenton basketball teams both clinched Grand River Conference Eastern Division titles on Tuesday night with wins at Putnam County. On Wednesday night, Trenton completed GRC East play by hosting the South Harrison Bulldogs. The Stanberry Bulldogs will travel to THS on Friday night to play Trenton in back-to-back contests in the first-ever GRC championship games (on Hot Country Z 101.7 and KGOZ-TV).
The Trenton wrestlers finished third in Saturday’s Grand River Conference Tournament, finishing behind GRC champion Gallatin and the runner-up Maysville Wolverines. The highlight of the day for Charlie Bacon’s squad was the repeat championship won by Drew Rorebeck. On Thursday, Trenton travels to Higginsville for triangular action with the host Huskers and Butler High School, before finishing the regular season on Saturday at the Lexington Tournament, starting at 9 o’clock in the morning.
