Former Clemson and East St. Louis High School cornerback Toriano Pride Jr. has officially committed to Missouri, as announced on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Wednesday night.

Pride, a 5-foot-11, 190-pound cornerback, becomes Missouri’s first commitment from the transfer portal during the winter window. He was a highly touted recruit, earning a four-star rating and ranking in the top 40 of 247Sports’ 2022 class. During his time at Clemson, Pride played in 26 games, recording 37 tackles (two for loss), nine pass breakups, and one interception.

Pride’s addition to the Tiger roster is a positive development for Mizzou, as starting corners Ennis Rakestraw Jr. and Kris Abrams-Draine are expected to pursue opportunities in the NFL, placing Pride immediately into a potential starting role, while returning players like Drey Norwood, Marcus Clarke, and Shamar McNeil could play significant roles in 2024.
