The Missouri Tigers have received the commitment of offensive lineman Isaac Zatechka to its 2021 recruiting class, adding a center that played at Elkhorn South High School during his prep years.

Zatechka is rated a two-star, and will be walking on at Missouri, passing on scholarship offers from Division Two schools Missouri Western, Minnesota State-Mankato, and Montana State.  He also, in addition to Mizzou, had preferred walk-on offers from Nebraska and Kansas State.

Perhaps the deciding factor for Zatechka’s pro-MU decision was family related, as his younger sister in a 2022 volleyball commitment for Mizzou.  The older Zatechka was a three-year starter at center at Elkhorn South.

In other Missouri related news, former four-star recruit Cjay Boone, a product of Parkway North High School in St. Louis, has announced a transfer destination.  Boone will be moving on from the SEC’s Tigers to play for the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.  Boone, citing COVID-19 concerns, had opted out of the 2020 season at MU, shortly followed in early October by the announcement of a pending transfer.  Boone, in the Class of 2019, chose Barry Odom and the Tigers over offers from Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, and Purdue.
