The Trenton High School boys tennis team swept Chariton (IA) High School on Monday afternoon, winning 9-0 to improve to 4-1 on the spring season.
Taking 8-0 victories for the Bulldogs were Trent Villacampa at #1 singles (over Spencer Smith), Bradyn Sager over Ryan Grother at #2 singles, Maverick Sole (#4 singles) over Gage Hart, and Victor Markell at #5 singles over Kade Williams.
Jonin Villacampa of THS won at #3 singles over Blane Wallace 8-5, while Tucker Otto, in the #6 singles match, downing Michael Chester 8-2.
In doubles, the Bulldogs were dominating, with Villacampa (Trent) and Sager over Smith and Wallace 8-0, Villacampa (Jonin) and Sole over Grother and Hart 8-1, with Markell and Otto defeating the team of Williams and Chester 8-0.
