The Trenton Bulldogs traveled to Knob Noster High School on Friday night, playing the Knob Noster Panthers, Windsor Greyhounds, and Summit Christian (Lee’s Summit) Eagles in a series of 12-play scrimmages in preparation for the regular season opener on Friday, August 24th.
In the opening scrimmage, the Trenton offense struggled against the Knob Noster front, with the Bulldogs held scoreless through their 12 plays, while the Panthers offense had two touchdown runs by quarterback Stevie Elwell (10 yards and 6 yards) to claim the 12-0 “win”.
Trenton’s defense struggled against Windsor, with the ‘Hounds quarterback, Kenton Sargent, scoring on a 5 yard touchdown run, and connecting on a 25 yard scoring strike to Nick Bowers. The Bulldogs, in their 12 plays, did get their first score, with Mark Trump scoring into the end zone on a run of 10 yards.
Trenton opened the scoring against Summit Christian, with Jadan Whitney crossing the goal line on a 1 yard plunge. Summit Christian scored three times, although the final two came against the Trenton second and third teamers late, with the Eagles connecting on three touchdown passes, of lengths of 39, 6, and 40 yards.

The Bulldogs open the regular season at Lathrop on Friday, August 24th, host Lexington in the home opener at C.F. Russell Stadium on Friday, August 31th, and play at Gallatin in the squad’s Grand River Conference opener on Friday, September 7th.
