The Trenton High School football program, looking to begin the rebuild from a winless 2020 season, had optimism in abundance as the first practice of the 2021 campaign opened at THS on Monday morning.
While numbers, particularly for a school of Trenton’s size are understandably low coming off a trying season, head coach Kevin Hixson is excited about some of the returning pieces to the Bulldogs roster this fall:
After the Bulldogs open the season at Brookfield on Friday, August 27th, the home opener with East Buchanan will follow on September 3rd, before Grand River Conference competition follows on September 10th, with Princeton bringing an expected tough squad down to C.F. Russell Stadium to tangle with their archrivals to the south.
Despite the low overall numbers, Hixson says keeping a potentially strong offensive line healthy will be key to Trenton success on the gridiron:
