The Trenton Lady Bulldogs jumped into the varsity win column on Tuesday night, traveling to Hamilton and grabbing a 25-7, 25-17, 25-13 win over the host Penney Hornets. Ally Yoder had 12 aces, 6 digs, and 3 kills for Trenton, with Ava Simpson adding 11 assists and 4 aces, and Saige Gott four kills and three aces.
The Trenton JV won 25-11, 25-5, with the C team from THS winning a close one-set match 25-23.
Speaking of the varsity win, coach Brad Ewald was pleased with the Bulldogs efforts, adding that now “we can hopefully use upcoming practices to sharpen up a few things and push us into the win column more often in the season’s second half”.
Trenton hosts Brookfield on Monday night, September 27th, with coverage of the varsity match on KTTN FM 92.3 starting just past 6 o’clock.
