Led by a team-high score of 79 from Nate Swann and Lathan Croy, the Trenton Bulldogs finished in 9th place in the 25-school Richmond Golf Invitational on Friday at the Shirkey Golf Club in Richmond.
Swann and Croy’s scores placed the Trenton duo in a five-way tie for 12th place, with scores sitting at 8 over par. Â
The Cameron Dragons, shot 356 to finish in a 12th place tie with Liberty. Â Cameron’s top score was 86 from Chase Foreman. Â Bishop LeBlond was third place overall, with a score of 320, with Maryville 4th (323), and Savannah 18th (387).
For Trenton High School, Corbyn Guile shot a 17-over par score of 88, good for 45th place. Â Luke Lewis shot 95 and Connor Cotton 111.
Columbia Rock Bridge dominated the Shirkey course, shooting 295 to win the team title, 21 strokes better than runner-up Rockhurst. Â Bishop LeBlond shot 320.
Brooks Jungbluth of Bishop LeBlond shot a one-over par score of 72, good for third place. Â Rock Bridge owned 3 of the 4 top finishing spots, led by two-under par 69 from Hudson Dubinski. Â Jake Mikesch of St. Joseph Central, with a round of 75, finished 5th. Â Matt Twaddle of Maryville shot 76 for a sixth-place tie with LeBlond’s Hank Lierz.
Other schools in the Richmond Invitational were Pembroke Hill, Kearney, Columbia Hickman, Marshall, Staley, Liberty, Excelsior Springs, Warrensburg, Harrisonville, Richmond, Barstow, Oak Grove, St. Joseph Lafayette, Lawson, Richmond JV, Orrick, and Norborne.
