Three members of the Princeton Lady Tigers district championship softball team have been named Class 1, Region 4 first team, highlighting the best of the best in Northwest Missouri high school softball in Districts 13 through 16.
Named first-team for PHS is sophomore pitcher Lauren Krohn, senior infielder Lindsey Batson, and senior outfielder Lacie Lewis. Catcher Jasmine Allen was a second-team catcher for a Lady Tiger team that won District 15 over North Harrison 3-1, before falling in the first round of the Class 1 playoffs to Platte Valley by a score of 5-3. Maysville represented Section 4 at last weekend’s state tournament in Springfield, finishing in third place, just one year removed from winning the state championship. Maysville was represented on the All-Region team by pitcher Sadie Smith, catcher Ashley Brown, infielder Ashton Willis, and outfielder Rylie Boyer. The Wolverines had three second-team selections in Claire Catlett, Madeline Smith, and Olivia Owen.
