The University of Kansas, and football coach Les Miles, have received a verbal commitment from D’Marion Alexander, a high school linebacker from China Spring, Texas. Alexander’s commitment came from his Instagram account on Wednesday night.
Alexander, a Rivals three-star prospect, had originally committed to P.J. Fleck and the Minnesota Golden Gophers early in his recruiting cycle, but had de-committed by this past spring.
As the recruitment re-opened, Alexander veered toward Kansas and assistant coach Chidera Uzo-Diribe, while showing interest in TCU and Baylor.
In becoming the 18th member of the Jayhawks 2021 class, Alexander tweeted, “I am beyond blessed to say that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career with the University of Kansas”, saying he is “1000%” shut down. He is the sixth commit for Coach Miles out of the state of Texas.
