North Richland Hills (Texas) point guard C.J. Roberts is the first verbal commitment for Kim Anderson’s Missouri Tigers for the Class of 2017, after the four-star prospect committed to MU on Monday morning

Roberts, a 6 foot, 175 pound senior, lauded Missouri for being the first school to visit with him once the school year started.  His official visit to the Columbia campus was last weekend, centered around the football team’s game with Georgia on Saturday night.

Roberts is expected to bring immediate dividends to a Tiger team that has struggled to score points in Coach Anderson’s first two years back at his alma mater, with recruiting services touting C.J.’s explosiveness in getting to the rim and his competitive and aggressive nature.

The commitment of Roberts to Mizzou was first reported Monday by PowerMizzou.com.
