State-ranked Brunswick impresses in Holiday Hoops appearance

The third-ranked (MBCA Class 1) Brunswick Wildcats grabbed an early double-digit lead and cruised to a varsity boys victory over the La Plata Bulldogs by a score of 66-28 in Holiday Hoops action from NCMC on Monday night. 

In a girls/boys doubleheader on the second day of the Holiday Hoops event, the girls game between the schools was the most competitive, as La Plata led for most of the night, only to see the bigger front-line of Brunswick take control of the game in the fourth quarter, as BHS won 41-37. 

The third day of Holiday Hoops from the Ketcham Community Center in Trenton tonight (Tuesday night) will see a Brashear Tigers vs. Milan Wildcats doubleheader, with the boys playing at 6 o’clock, followed by the girls game at 7:30.

On Tuesday night, there will be a full night of games in the Grand River Conference, with Brookfield hosting Trenton at 6 o’clock on KGOZ FM 101.7.  Other GRC doubleheaders will be South Harrison at Gallatin, Putnam County at Marceline, and Polo at Maysville. 

The Missouri Tigers will host Jacksonville State tonight on KTTN FM 92.3, with pregame at 6 o’clock and tipoff at 6:30.  The nationally-ranked (#16 NJCAA Division Two) North Central Missouri College Lady Pirates begin their Florida trip at 2 o’clock, playing Florida State College-Jacksonville at Palm Beach State College.
