The Missouri Tigers, in addition to Saturday’s three-point win on the field at Purdue, started the day with off-the-field recruiting success, gaining the verbal commitment of Parkway North wide receiver C.J. Boone, the fourth St. Louis area player to pledge with the Tigers. Boone announced his commitment via video on Twitter, and is rated a three-star prospect by numerous recruiting services, including Rivals.
Boone, a 6’3″ senior at Parkway North, caught 34 passes for 502 yards and five touchdowns as a junior, choosing Missouri over Indiana, Minnesota, Kansas, Kentucky, and Purdue. Rivals.com rates him the #68 receiver in the U.S. in the Class of 2019.
The three other St. Louis area talents already announcing to Mizzou are the Kirkwood High School duo of receiver Maurice Massey and defensive end Arvell Ferguson, along with Lutheran North offensive lineman Jack Buford.
