Sporting Kansas City rolled to an early lead and claimed a 4-2 victory over the visiting Houston Dynamo on Sunday evening at Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas.
Johnny Russell began his weekend by signing a two-year contract extension, and finished it with a two goal night for Kansas City (15-6-7), with Daniel Salloi and Gadi Kinda adding tallies for the second-place team in the Western Conference, now up to 52 points on the season.
