Southwest Livingston opens CLAA play with sweep of Hardin-Central

The Southwest Livingston High School basketball teams traveled south to Hardin-Central on Monday night, opening CLAA Conference play with a doubleheader sweep of the Bulldogs.

Southwest’s Kortlyn Rounkles had a dominant floor game in the opener, amassing 30 points, eight assists, seven steals, and four blocks in a 66-36 win over the Lady Bulldogs.  All-state forward Kaylie Campbell had 15 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists for Julie Bothwell’s state-ranked team, while Colee Webb had nine points, and Marley Anderson contributed six rebounds.

The Southwest Livingston boys are showing strong returns on their early play in the 2017-2018 season, including a 69-49 road win on Monday night.  Sophomore center Mack Anderson had 18 points and 15 rebounds for the Wildcats, while Wyatt Maddux had a team-high 20 points, to go with seven steals.  Peyton Hein had 10 points for Southwest.

The Lady Wildcats and Wildcats return home for a non-conference doubleheader, hosting the Winston Redbirds tonight (Tuesday night).
