The Lawson High School girls golf program hosted the annual Lawson Tournament on Wednesday afternoon, with 18 holes of play at the Hidden Valley Course.
Smithville had a strong day, with Amanda Conrad, shooting 89, taking the medalist honors. The Lady Warriors team score of 374 was good for the 1st place team finish, besting the 381 of runner-up Pleasant Hill and 416 from third-place Cameron.
Top individual scores from the region included a 95 from South Harrison’s Abby Owens, good for a six-way tie for fourth place. Cameron had a pair of players hit double-digits, with Allie Cass at 97 and Lydia Petersen at 99. Trenton sophomore Reece Weldon was right at 100, placing her in 16th place.
Scores of note from the team competition were Lawson in fourth place (421), South Harrison ninth (468), and Trenton 11th (482).
In addition to Weldon’s 100, other Trenton High School scores were Eliana Cowling at 122, Kinsley Otto 125, Morgan Brown 135, and Seanacie Ireland at 143.
Princeton’s only entry in the event, Riley Moreno, shot an 18-hole score of 121. South Harrison, following Owens’ 95, had 112 from Ashlee Cannon, 123 for Chloe Hodge, and 138 from Paige Beatty.
