The North Harrison Lady Shamrocks junior varsity won the HDC Conference softball tournament championship on their own field, defeating Tri-County 12-2 in Saturday’s title contest.
The day began with first-round games, won by Gilman City, 11-1 over Winston; and by East Harrison, by a final of 6-1 over Grundy County R-5.
In the semifinal round, North Harrison edged East Harrison in a pitchers duel, 2-0, while Tri-County walloped Gilman City 11-1.
Grundy R-5 salvaged the consolation championship honors with a 10-9 win over Winston, with East Harrison winning third place over Gilman City, 17-5.
