The Southeastern Conference wrapped up its week of media events on Friday, with media naming the preseason All-SEC team for 2016. The only player selected from the University of Missouri was junior defensive end Charles Harris, as the Kansas City native was named second team.
Harris is coming off of a breakthrough season in 2015 that saw the former Lincoln Prep Blue Tiger finish second in the SEC with 18 1/2 tackles for loss. He added seven sacks and 56 total tackles, leaving him as the favorite to continue Mizzou’s recent outstanding play, and numerous NFL players, at the defensive end position (a list that includes Shane Ray of the Broncos and Kony Ealy of the Panthers).
