The Kansas City Royals have announced the trade of veteran first baseman Lucas Duda to the Atlanta Braves. In exchange, Kansas City will receive cash considerations.
In his only season in Kansas City, Duda, signed to a one-year deal in February, hit .242 with 13 homers and 48 RBI’s in 87 years. His signing helped to fill the void left by the departure of All-Star first baseman Eric Hosmer to San Diego.
Last season, Duda was traded in mid-season, from the Mets to the Tampa Bay Rays, on July 27, 2017.
