In 2016, the Kansas City Royals introduced an alternate jersey and cap to commemorate the club’s 2015 World Series Championship.  Due to overwhelming fan response and popularity, a revised gold-trimmed jersey and cap will be worn for Friday home games in 2017.

The club will wear specially-designed Majestic jerseys and caps from New Era.  The front of the home white jerseys will feature a blue ‘Royals’ script trimmed in gold thread and gold numerals trimmed in blue.  The back of the jerseys will have each player’s name in blue and trimmed in gold with the numerals embossed in gold with blue thread.  The special royal blue caps will feature a gold ‘KC’ on the front and gold button on top.

The Royals will debut the jerseys and caps on Friday, April 14 when they host the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.  First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.

The official New Era caps and Majestic jerseys will be sold at the Majestic Team Store at Kauffman Stadium from November 17 through November 23 and online at MLBshop.com.  The team store will have extended hours during these dates from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Both products will be available at other retailers later in the month.
