The Kansas City Royals have acquired minor league right-handed pitcher Ryan Brady and infielder Cam DeVanney from the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for right-handed pitcher Taylor Clarke. Ryan Brady, 24, had a combined 2.69 ERA in 37 appearances across High-A Wisconsin and Double-A Biloxi in the Brewers system last year. Cam DeVanney, 26, played in 103 games for Triple-A Nashville in 2023, hitting .271 with 11 home runs and 47 RBIs.

In another move, the Royals have signed right-handed pitcher Seth Lugo to a two-year Major League contract, with a player option for 2026. Lugo, 34, worked as a starter for the first time in 2023 with the San Diego Padres, setting career highs in wins, games started, innings pitched, and strikeouts. He posted a 3.57 ERA in 26 starts.

The Major League Reserve List for the Kansas City Royals is now at 40.
