The Kansas City Royals have announced the revised 60-game schedule for the 2020 regular season, with Opening Day at Cleveland at 6:10 PM on Friday, July 24th and the Chicago White Sox visiting Kauffman Stadium for the home opener on Friday, July 31st at 7:05 PM.

The 2020 season will play out more as a sprint rather than baseball’s regular “marathon” of 162 games, with 40 games against the Royals AL Central rivals (Chicago, Cleveland, Minnesota, and Detroit) and 20 against the NL Central (St. Louis, Chicago, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and Milwaukee).

The games with the cross-state rival Cardinals will be played August 24th through the 26th at Busch Stadium and September 21st through 23rd at Kauffman Stadium.  The Royals and Cubs will play four straight days, with the first two games at Wrigley Field (August 3rd and 4th), followed a pair in Kansas City (August 5th and 6th).

KC will host three games with the Indians, seven against the White Sox, four opposite Detroit, and six games against the Twins.  The Pirates will visit on September 11th through 13th, with the Reds at the Royals on August 18th and 19th.
