The Kansas City Royals had their best offensive night of the young season on Wednesday night, with a 10-1 victory over the Texas Rangers salvaging one win in the three game series for KC.
Bobby Witt Jr. had three base hits and three RBI’s for the Royals, with MJ Melendez driving in three runs, while Vinnie Pasquantino adding a long home run to right field. Kansas City had a season-high in hits with 14 to go with the team’s first double-digit scoring effort of the year. Coming into the contest, the team was hitting a paltry .190, averaging fewer than three runs per game.

Franmil Reyes had a seventh-inning single to scored Witt Jr.. Edward Olivares had an RBI hit, and Michael Massey drove in two later in the inning.
Brad Keller (2-1) was solid in victory for Kansas City, shutting down the Texas lineup after a solo homer in the 1st inning from Nathaniel Lowe. He left after permitting a two-out walk in the 7th inning. Nathan Eovaldi (1-2) allowed 10 hits and six runs for the Texas rotation.
The St. Louis Cardinals downed the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday at Coors Field in Denver by a score of 7-4. Nolan Gorman, Nolan Arenado, and Tyler O’Neill hit home runs for St. Louis.
