The Kansas City Royals announced on Friday afternoon the establishment of the “ACE 30” Memorial Fund, supporting youth baseball in the Dominican Republic to honor the memory of the late Yordano Ventura.
Ventura, from Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic, passed away in an automobile accident on January 22nd. He maintained a strong connection to his home country, returning in the off-season to live in the Caribbean nation while working out at the Royals Dominican Academy in Guerra.
