The Kansas City Royals announced their 2025 Spring Training schedule on Tuesday, featuring 31 Cactus League games, including 15 home games at Surprise Stadium.
The Royals will begin their 23rd season in the Cactus League on Feb. 21, hosting the Texas Rangers at Surprise Stadium. They will play three games as the visiting team against the Rangers on Feb. 25, March 8 and March 22.
Home game times will be 2:05 p.m. CT for the first eight games, switching to 3:05 p.m. CT starting March 9, when Daylight Savings begins. The Royals will host three night games: March 1 vs. the Chicago Cubs, March 5 vs. the Seattle Mariners and March 19 vs. the San Francisco Giants.
Three split-squad dates are scheduled: March 8, March 15 and March 21. On March 15, the Royals will host the Guardians in Surprise and play the Reds in Goodyear.
The Royals will play 33 games in 33 days, including 31 Cactus League games in 30 days, with off days on March 4, March 18 and March 23.
Kansas City will face every Cactus League team at least once, playing seven games against the Texas Rangers, including two as the home team. They will also play three games against Seattle and Arizona, and two games against Cleveland, Oakland, Colorado, San Diego, San Francisco, Cincinnati, Milwaukee, the Cubs and Angels.
The Royals will play the White Sox and Dodgers once. They will also participate in a Spring Breakout Game against the Diamondbacks on March 14, featuring minor league prospects.
Their regular season opener is set for March 27 against the Cleveland Guardians at Kauffman Stadium.
