The Kansas City Royals and Fox Sports Kansas City, according to a report from Jeffrey Flanagan of Royals.com, are “inching toward” finalizing a television contract.  MLB.com is reporting that FSKC will carry 59 of the 60 Royals games in the shortened 2020 season.

With the potential of college football and perhaps even the NFL not playing games in September, if at all, this season, baseball could have a much bigger front-print on national networks.

At this point, FOX and Fox Sports 1 will be carrying a combination of four of the 60 Royals games, including a contest between Kansas City and the Chicago Cubs, on FOX, for August 6th.

The games on FS1 will be August 22nd (vs. Minnesota) and September 24th (vs. Detroit) at Kauffman Stadium, with a meeting against the White Sox, in Chicago, on August 29th.
